Early Vote
The Board of Election Commissioners of Washington County, Arkansas, pursuant to Arkansas Codes §7-5-418 and § 7-5-101 (e) (2) (B) (b), does hereby set the Early Vote Locations, Dates and Times for the Preferential Primary, Nonpartisan Judicial General, Annual School and City of Fayetteville Special Election to be held in Washington County, Arkansas, on Tuesday, March 3, 2026.
Early Voting begins on Tuesday, February 17th.
Monday, February 16th is a Federal Holiday and all Early Vote sites will be closed.

Last Day to Early Vote is Monday, March 2, 2026. Hours on the Last Day to Early Vote are: 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. The only location open on that date will be the Washington County Courthouse. |

ELECTIONEERING
Electioneering is the display of or audible dissemination of information that advocates for or against any candidate, issue or measure on a ballot.
Electioneering includes without limitation:
- Handing out or distributing campaign literature or literature regarding a candidate, issue or measure on the ballot
- Soliciting signatures on a petition
- Soliciting contributions or other purpose
- Displaying a candidate's name, likeness, or logo
- Displaying or dissemination of buttons, hats, pencils, pens, shirts, signs, or stickers containing electioneering information
- Disseminating audible electioneering information
Electioneering is prohibited:
- in any Early or Election day site during voting hours
- within 100 feet of the main exterior entrance used by voters during Early or Election Day Voting
Certain Early Vote sites by request of the property owner prohibit electioneering on their property.
These Early Vote sites do not allow campaign signs placed on their property:
Washington County Courthouse: The Courthouse does allow signs to be held outside the 100ft.

If you have any questions please call the Election Commission office at 479-444-1766.
In the case of a severe weather event or other emergency during the time period of Early Voting (February 17, 2026 to February 28, 2026) the only location that will be kept open will be the Washington County Courthouse.
This decision will be made, based on recommendations from the Washington County Judge’s Office, Washington County Emergency Management and Washington County Sheriff’s office to the Washington County Election Commission.
Information will be posted on the Washington County website, social media accounts and posted at each Early Vote Site.
7-5-101(d)(3)(A) Notice of a change made in a polling site shall be provided by posting information at the polling site used in the last election and by the county clerk mailing notice to affected registered voters at least fifteen (15) days before the election unless:
(i) The election is a school election;
(ii) The election is a special election; or
(iii) The change in polling sites is due to an emergency arising less than fifteen (15) days before the election.
(B) If the change in polling site occurs in a school election, special election, or due to an emergency arising less than fifteen (15) days before the election, notice of a change made in the polling site shall be provided by posting information at the polling site used in the last election.
7-5-418(h)(1) Except as provided in subdivision (h)(3) of this section, the county board of election commissioners may call an emergency meeting held in person or by electronic means to close one (1) or more early voting locations for one (1) or more days due to inclement weather.
(2) An emergency meeting called under subdivision (h)(1) of this section shall require a unanimous vote by the county board of election commissioners to close an early voting location.
(3) The county board of election commissioners shall not close at least one (1) early voting location in the county seat that shall remain open every day that is designated for early voting.
(4) As used in this subsection, “county seat” means the same as defined in § 14-14-301.
