The VICTIM ASSISTANCE PROGRAM is the department within the Prosecutor’s Office that provides information and support to victims of violent crime.  We are the primary contact for questions about the process, referrals for services, and updates in pending prosecutions.

If you are a victim of a violent crime, please call the main number for the office and ask for one of our Coordinators: (479) 444-1588.

Our services primarily include:

-Information / Education about the criminal justice system

-Referrals to community helping agencies

-Support at every stage in the criminal court process

-Liaison between victims and prosecutors

-Notification and explanation of court dates

-Escort to hearings / trials

-Advocacy on behalf of victims with employers, landlords, law enforcement, the judicial system and other service providers

Offices we coordinate with include:

Circuit Clerk’s Office 479-444-1539 – Domestic Relations Specialists can assist with pursuing Protective Orders for those in immediate danger of physical violence from a domestic partner, family or household member.

Crime Victims Reparations - a program administrated by the Arkansas Department of Public Safety.  Victims of violent crimes and their families may apply for financial assistance to pay for out-of-pocket medical bills, counseling fees, income loss, and funeral expenses.  501-682-1020 or visit their website:

Free monthly grief support meetings for anyone affected by homicide.  In-person meetings in Little Rock on the 2nd Tuesday and ZOOM Meetings on the 4th Tuesday of every month.
